Next door church staff

  • pASTOR pAUL jOHNSON

I’m Pastor Paul, and I’m blessed to be part of this vibrant community. I have a background in family ministries, church planting, pastoral coaching, and entrepreneurial missions, I’ve spent the last six years diving into the joys and challenges of neighborhood ministry here at Next Door Church of the Nazarene.  I believe that faith is a journey best taken together. I’m passionate about seeing people grow in their relationship with Jesus and discover meaning in life while making a difference in this world.  I love hanging out with my family, camping, exploring the Northwest, and raising Alpacas.

Fun Fact… I’ve landed upside down in an airplane.

  • Claudia Miller

    Orchards Childcare & Preschool Director

I am a passionate advocate for nurturing children to reach their full potential. I have worked in the children's and youth ministry for over 40 years. I enjoy baking and making memories with my 8 grandchildren.

  • Pastor Russ Leonard

Visiting Pastor, currently on medical leave but is still an integral part of our church family.

  • Pastor Eddie Fox

Next Door Church has been my home since I was a teenager. For years I led our youth worship ministry, where I grew to understand more closely the love and mercy of Jesus. I’ve held leadership positions in the professional medical field, as well as youth and international missions ministries. I have a passion for honoring God through worship and serving others. God has blessed me with a wonderful wife and two amazing young boys. A fun fact about myself is that I have a habit of turning what are supposed to be relaxing family vacations into ambitious family adventures.

  • Pastor JP Clark

Welcome to Next Door Church! My name is Pastor JP Clark and I am the youth and community pastor here at Next Door Church. My passion is demonstrating Jesus everywhere I go and I have been blessed to lead and serve in ministry for over 15 years. My family is a huge part of who I am and opening our table to new faces is an important way in which we love those around us. Being an adventurer at heart I love to experience new places and hear inspiring stories from people. A fun fact about me is that I love to drive anywhere I can to discover new towns and historical places. For me, exploring is all about the adventure and never simply the destination.

  • Pastor Terri Clark

Hello! My name is Pastor Terri Clark, and I serve as the Children's Pastor here at Next Door Church of the Nazarene. My family and I moved to Renton in the summer of 2023 and LOVE living in Renton. We quickly discovered our favorite coffee shop, Boon Boona, in downtown Renton, and would love to join you for a cup of coffee! One fun fact about me is that at age 15, I was the youngest staff member of a church camp in Oregon and I went on to work at that camp for three years running their zipline, climbing tree, and giant swing.

  • Christina Anderson

As the Administrative Assistant to the Next Door Church and the Orchards Childcare & Preschool I have found a special place at Renton Next Door Church where I can grow, serve, and express my creativity! My involvement in both the church and childcare has been such a beautiful way to contribute to the community. It brings me so much joy to be creative with projects like photo backdrops and our Harvest Party Trunk or Treat decorations. I would love to share some pictures!

Fun Fact, my first Sunday at Renton Next Door Church, I was 14 days old and even though I have attended other churches, I feel like I am where I belong.

The Church of the Nazarene is the largest denomination in the classical Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. The doctrine that distinguishes the Church of the Nazarene and other Wesleyan denominations from most other Christian denominations is that of entire sanctification. Nazarenes believe that God calls Christians to a life of holy living that is marked by an act of God, cleansing the heart from original sin and filling the individual with love for God and humankind.
